Important Information for Presenters
Oral Presentations
Oral presentations in both themed sessions and special sessions will be 10-12 minute long, followed by 3-5 minutes for discussion/question time and change-over, for a total of 15 minutes. A maximum speaking time of 12 minutes will be enforced. Please stick strictly to these time limits.
We highly encourage all oral presenters to upload your presentation slides (recommended 16:9 for widescreen format) to the portal before the conference. Please upload your slides to your personalised submission portal and follow the steps below:
- Click on the “View / Edit Submissions” button from the top menu
- Scroll down to your original oral abstract submission
- Click on the “Edit” button next to Presentation Slides for Oral Presentation
- Upload your presentation slides to a shared drive e.g. Wetransfer, google drive, or dropbox
- Copy the file link and paste in the box
- Click on the “Update” button
- The URL link of your presentations slides will be recorded. Once the boxes have turned from red to green with a checkmark we have received your presentation.
The deadline for uploading presentations before the conference is 16 November 12:00pm New Zealand time. After that the portal will be closed and we are not accepting presentations via emails. (Please note only the original submitting authors have access to upload the presentations via the portal)
If you cannot submit your presentation before the deadline or wish to provide an updated version, you can do so onsite during the conference. A computer will be available in all sessions rooms, and you are required to use the computer provided. You must load your presentation in the room where you will give your presentation. Please go to the appropriate room to load your presentation in one of the breaks before your session starts. A student assistant will be present to help.
Make sure to bring your presentation on a USB drive for the conference, even if your slides are already uploaded on the portal.
